One less plastic bottle in the kitchen! Use a soap shaker with a bar soap instead of liquid detergent. 

Pop a bar of the soap of your choice into the cage and swish it in hot water to obtain a lather. 

Also useful in the laundry or anywhere else you want a soapy lather.
